They are the light of our lives!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.comBlogger38125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-42718032416333647082010-10-16T16:53:00.000-07:002010-10-16T17:01:48.110-07:00It's been a while!!!I just realized how long it has been since I "blogged"! lol
We are doing well. My babies keep me busy and I havent been able to get on here in a while. If you follow me on Facebook, You will see that we have become world travellers!! :) We have a church in KY voting on us tomorrow. Please pray for God's will. Honestly, I am praying God says yes!!! We have been living with my inlaws since July, 2010. Even though we get along great, I am sure you understand that it is hard for 2 families to live in one house! I am very thankful that they have allowed us to stay here. They have really helped us over the past few months. Their love and support have been wonderful.

Abigail is doing great. She loves to stand and hold on to the couch, cabinet, chair, etc. But is very sensitive!!! :)
Alex is my big man! He is always saying something funny!!! I am "homeschooling" him as much as possible right now. He does alright. He just cant figure out which hand he wants to write with! lol
Aaron is my big teddy bear! He is on Singulair because his tonsils are too large for his age. A side affect is mood change... more edgy! He has his moments, but it hasnt affected him too bad. He is in his terrible 2's. But he is mommy's baby!!!

God has continued to provide for us since Stan lost his job in April 2009. God is truly a Faithful God!!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-41182039004359069472010-03-13T13:10:00.000-08:002010-03-13T13:17:34.967-08:00My big 4 year old... She weighed 5lbs 7oz and 18.3 inches long. She is beautiful!!! She has alot of the "Porter look" :) Yay me!! lol

I always loved the name we chose for her, but God (via my mother in law) gave me a different point of view of her name!

Stan and I were trying to come to a decision about whether I should try to have another child down the road, or get my tubes tied. This is actually a question that I think a pregnant woman should never be asked!!! :0 We decided to just wait and see, so we told my dr not to tie them while I was in surgery. That Monday and Tuesday night before she was born, I kept feeling pain in my stomache (kinda like a bladder infection with contractions). It kept me up all night. Finally, Wednesday morning, I called the dr. Went in and told him about my pain. He put me on the monitor for only about 30 minutes. when he came in and told me we would deliver about lunch time. It really scared me that he seemed so concerned. He had checked my cervix and realized her head was really low. So, he sent us to the hospital. We had the c section and Abi was sent to the NICU to be monitored for respiratory distress and the fact that I had the gestational diabetes. As the dr was leaving, he came to talk to us. He told me that my uteran wall is thin and it might have ruptured had Abi stayed in much longer! This really scared us! We told him that if we had realized that, we would have had him tie my tubes. He told me he can do that at my 6 wk appt., in the office, and not leave an incision!!! wow!!!
We brought Abi home when she was 3 days old!!! It was so nice to bring her home with me and not leave her in the NICU.
God gave us a clear answer! I cannot carry a baby past 36 weeks and that has been proven! The Lord spared us and I am so thankful!

Stan is going to ECPI for computer networking. This program is for 1 1/2 yr. This schooling will allow his unemployment to continue! I am so thankful for that. He will go to school Monday thru Thursdays 5:30-10pm. He will start March 1st!!! This gives him the feeling of purpose in life. he needs that! Now, we need to pray that God will give him a job, then us a place to live... so on.
But I cannot deny that God has always provided and continues to provide!

I hope you have a wonderful week everyone!!!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-3509360508002417652010-01-25T16:52:00.000-08:002010-01-25T17:03:40.820-08:0035 weeks.... Not much longer!Wow, didnt realize I had gotten so far behind in my blog!! I'm sorry! I am finally getting over my cold that I have had for 2 weeks.
This week in my pregnancy email, "Your baby doesnt have much room to manuever now that she is over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 51/2 lbs. Because its so snug in your womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete."
That last sentence is comforting, because I am having on / off preterm labor! I went to the dr today and they are not going to stop my labor, nor are they gonna speed it up. So when I go into full blown labor they will deliver me!
Please keep us in your prayers.Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-51288329922894535412009-12-30T10:24:00.000-08:002009-12-30T10:29:31.036-08:0031 weeks....Went to the dr today and was thrilled!! We had an ultrasound to see how Abigail is growing and she is perfect! She weighs about 3lbs 15oz!!! So, the dr estimated that she will weigh about 71/2 lbs when born. In the sonogram, she had her hand over one side of her face, and my heart ached to hold her! It was an adorable picture.
We are still praying about New York. Please keep us in your prayers.Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-42581916400272989752009-12-21T18:35:00.000-08:002009-12-21T18:37:00.427-08:00

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-79361000897874033112009-12-21T18:22:00.000-08:002009-12-21T18:35:26.495-08:0030 weeks and so not ready!!! :)Well, I am on my 30th week and can not believe that this baby will be here soon!!! I am not ready at all, but I plan to be after the holidays!!!:)
We got back from our trip to NY safe and sound. It was wonderful. The people really took care of us. We are just praying for God's perfect will. Hopefully we will know something by January.
According to my email, Abi is about 15.6 inches long and weighs about 3 pounds. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in my belly. Her eyesight continues to develop though its not very keen; even after she is born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she will respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision- which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face.
These emails continue to amaze me.
Alex is doing well. He is growing beyond leaps and bounds. He made us laugh today with: "Mommy, Daddy, Gramma put presents in the socks!!!" Meaning she puts stuff in our stockings!!! lol
Aaron has grown taller and slimmer. He is saying more words, but not sentences. He is my little monster.
Hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas. Please enjoy every minute you have with your family!!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-48367708450834807342009-12-11T11:56:00.000-08:002009-12-11T12:15:06.292-08:0028 weeksWell, I am 281/2 weeks!!! Abi will be here before I know it and I am NOT ready!!! lol
Abi should weigh about 21/4 lbs and measures about 14.8 inches long. She can open and close her eyes, which now has lashes!! ( this is all my email said!) Short, huh? lol

Our trip to NY is going alright. We are staying with some pretty awesome people! They have 8 grandchildren ages 14-19 yrs old. So they understand how rowdy my boys can be! I am so thankful that they have been so understanding! We have had dinner with a different church member each day! It has been interesting! The NY accent is not too hard to understand, they just talk FAST! lol We have enjoyed being here. We are still praying for Gods perfect will. If we are invited to come, we wont know until about January 1st. The Trustee committee is meeting Monday night to decide if they want to bring it before the church on whether to vote on us. We are diligently praying!! These people are wonderful and they have proven that they really take care of their pastor! Over the last couple of years, they have remodeled the parsonage and it is beyond beautiful!!! So roomy! Im sorry. But on the bright side, I only have 9 more shots!!! I am so excited. They are getting harder to bear!!!
This week "Abigail has gained about 4 ounces just since last week! She is about a foot long and her body is filling out proportionally and she will soon start to plump up! Her brain is also growing quickly now, and her taste buds are continuing to develop. Her lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help her air sacs inflate once she hits the outside world. Her skin is still thin and translucent, but will start to change soon."

Stan had a phone interview on Wednesday night with a pulpit committee at a church in New York. It went well. The Lord is in control!

I had to quit working. I am having alot of sciatic problems with my back and this weight gain.

I hope all of you have had a great week!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-39627900376032342432009-11-02T18:39:00.001-08:002009-11-02T18:46:15.040-08:00Week 22...." With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she is 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound, you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes! Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world."

Alex felt Abigail kick for the first time tonight! He was so funny... He said, " Baby Abi kicked mommy!"

Stan had a good trip to PA. We believe the pastor just wanted to meet Stan and get to know him.

Alex goes in the morning for his Neurology checkup. They plan to do an EEG to see if there is any underlying seizure activity. Of course, we are praying for no activity at all!

Hope all of you are having a great week!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-20182564775779618872009-10-20T20:01:00.000-07:002009-10-20T20:06:23.294-07:0021 weeks!!!!!Well, the shots are going alright! I think! lol I guess I will know more in February if I make it to the end of the month with no preterm labor!
We found out today that our little baby is a girl!! We are beyond excited and still a little shocked! lol
According to the ultrasound, she weighs about 1 lb. and is very healthy! 5 fingers and 5 toes on each hand and foot and she looked beautiful on the screen! It was wonderful to see her! She is measuring right on track!!
We are planning to name her Abigail Grace Roberson... Abi Grace!
What is so funny, is since my first pregnancy in Jan 2005 (the one I miscarried) I have had little barrettes with the name Abigail on them! I have had these for 4 years and I finally get to use them! :)
Hope all of you have a great week!! I am!! :)Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-84237408981319258372009-10-13T08:36:00.000-07:002009-10-13T08:41:07.461-07:00The halfway mark....Well, I am 20 weeks along in this pregnancy and still doing alright! I know I am carrying the baby pretty low, there are times I feel like this baby is going to kick itself out! But this baby weighs about 101/2 oz now andis about 10 inches long (head to heel)! About the size of a banana!
We go next Tuesday to find out the gender! I am so excited!!! I dont like to drink caffeine, but will probly drink some that day!
Our trip to Tennessee went well. This church is small but has a sweet spirit! We are praying for Gods will now.Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-12408167384834204202009-10-07T21:33:00.000-07:002009-10-07T21:39:11.089-07:0019 weeks and still going strong! ( I think) LOLHello everyone,
This week is interesting to me. The baby weighs 81/2 oz and measures 6 inches, head to bottom - about the size of a large heirloom tomato. The baby's hair is on the scalp is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development. Your baby's brain is designation specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now!
I am feeling the baby kick every once in a while. I am carrying this baby lower than I did the boys!!!
We are leaving Friday for Jackson, Tennessee! Stan is candidating for pastorate there on Sunday. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and visit this church! This is a 9 hr trip for us and Aaron hates his carseat!!! :{
Have a great week everyone!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-84085204448162110942009-10-02T07:21:00.000-07:002009-10-02T07:29:24.483-07:00Week 18!!" Head to rump, your baby is approximately 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and weighs almost 7 oz. He's busy flexing his arms and legs - movements taht you'll start noticing mmore and more in the weeks ahead. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you are having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, although he may hide them from you during an ultrasound."

I am sorry I am so late with this. It has been a crazy week with working! On Wednesday I had an emergency dental work. They filled 1 cavity and pulled 2 teeth and 1 wisdom tooth. I am still healing.

Stan received a phone call from a church in Jackson TN . We will be visiting on Oct 9-11th. He will be preaching both services that Sunday. He is candidating for pastorate. Please pray for us as we travel and while we are there that God will show us His will.

The baby is doing well, the boys too! Stan finally felt the baby kick for the first time the other night. Unfortunately, this baby is active at night!!! I think I may be in trouble!! LOL

The boys are being boys! They are very entertaining!!

Hope you all have a great week!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-56750333825070219242009-09-21T19:44:00.000-07:002009-09-21T19:49:43.586-07:0017 weeks and growing~"Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord is growing stronger and thicker! Your baby weighs 5 oz and is about 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and sweat glands are starting to develop!"

I am starting my progesterone shots Thursday. I have 1 every week til 34 weeks. Prayerfully, these shots will help me get to full term.

We find out the gender of our baby on Oct 20, Cant wait!!!!!
I am still working and doing well with it!!

The other day, I asked Aaron where his nose is... his answer was "sniff, sniff"!!! LOL

Alex's vocabulary has really expanded. He is always talking and telling me something! Poor child takes after his mother! :)

Hope you all have a great week~!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-51040828970697230012009-09-14T20:26:00.000-07:002009-09-14T20:35:43.453-07:00Week 16!!!My email this week was interesting.... You can already tell I am pregnant, so this made me feel really good!!! (dont laugh to hard!!)

Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, hes about the size of an avacado: 41/2 inches long (head to rump) and 31/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position too!

This cracked me up! I am already thinking I am pretty big, but the fact that I am gonna get bigger so soon??? hmmm, not sure about that!!! I expected that alittle later!!! hahaahhaha

I go back to the dr Thursday, so We will see how I am doing. The Lord has provided strength to me for the last few days of working. I have had alot of strange hours due to being short staffed. But God has helped and provided.

Hope all are doing well in "blog world" .Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-13878247257007999542009-09-09T19:51:00.001-07:002009-09-09T19:57:14.459-07:00recent pics of my growing boys!!!

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-56985851185543364732009-09-09T19:35:00.000-07:002009-09-09T19:47:18.362-07:0015 Weeks~Hey, this week is not much info but it is interesting! :)

The baby now measures about 4 inches, crown to lump! and weighs in at about 2 1/2 inches ( about the size of an apple). The baby is busy moving amniotic fluid through the nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. The legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam.

I go to the dr next Thursday. From there, I will start progesterone shots that are suppose to help prevent preterm labor. I am just praying for no side effects so I can still work. I need to work. I will have these shots from 17-34 weeks! UGH!! Wonder where they insert the needle!?!

Have a great week everyone!!!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-87478525389763456292009-09-02T07:38:00.000-07:002009-09-02T07:46:28.706-07:00Week 14....This week starts my 2nd trimester~~ I should have more energy, but working at night has kinda wiped that idea out! :) So, this week, the baby cn now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are gettin a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another!!! This baby is now stretching out from head to bottom at 3 1/2 inches long and weighs 1 1/2 ounces!!! This is about the size of a lemon~

Stan is still job hunting. Right now his is flying to Fla. to Adam Linebacks wedding~ He will come back home on Sunday. Please keep praying.

The boys are doing alright. They enjoy staying at Gramma and Grandpa's house! Who doesnt? :)

Hope everyone has a great week! I will try to post a pregnancy pic soon!!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-51906391988702139072009-08-24T11:25:00.000-07:002009-08-24T11:30:24.975-07:00Pregnancy countdown.....13th week....I am getting emails from mypregnancy.com about how my baby grows each week and how I grow! It is very interesting.

This week... fingerprints have formed on my baby's tiny fingertips, the veins and organs are clearly visible through the still thin skin, and the body is starting to catch up with the head which makes up just a third of my baby's body size. If this baby is a girl, she now has more than 2 milion eggs in her ovaries. The baby is almost 3 inches long and weighs nearly an ounce. The chance for miscarriage significantly drops since I am starting my 2nd trimester next week!!! Yay!!

I wanted to share this and plan to so this each week. I thought this was so interesting!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-22584659286635021132009-08-24T11:05:00.000-07:002009-08-24T11:11:27.536-07:00Please pray....Well, I start back to work on Wednesday. I will be working 2nd shift. I will greatly miss my boys. I have spent today cleaning and playing with them and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Stan is still job hunting. He actually filled out an application on line this morning and got a call 5 minutes later for an interview on Wednesday at 10am!!! Praise the Lord!!! This interview is with Aflac. He already had a group interview with them at their company in Winston Salem, but never got a call back. But this one is a personal interview in Greensboro. I am praying he gets this job.
Aaron goes at 7 in the morning to get tubes in his ears! I am so nervous. But I know he will be ok.
Alex is doing great. He told his daddy last night, "We need to pray for Mamaw, she is still sick" !! He said this out of the blue!!! I am so proud of my baby!!! He is such a sweetheart!
Well, guess I better get back to cleaning and playing!! Hope everyone has a great day!! :)Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-40270410034218257432009-08-10T05:43:00.000-07:002009-08-10T05:46:43.156-07:00

My angels!!!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334040433570223633.post-70556377092400302742009-08-10T05:23:00.000-07:002009-08-10T05:41:28.380-07:00My God shall supply all your needs....Phillippians 4:19 has always been one of my favorite verses....
I know I have not been on here in a while, I am sorry. Things got pretty busy around here.

Aaron turned One year old June 2nd. We had a blast at his little party. He had a great turn out!

We were planning a trip to Florida to see my Grandmother and then on to West Virginia to candidate at a church. The evening before our trip started my life took a significant change.

Please bear with me as I tell you this story. It is still hard (as it always will be) to tell this story of what happened to my baby.

Alex is 3 yrs old now!! It is so hard to believe how fast time flies, seems like yesterday that I was holding my 4lb 14oz baby in the NICU! God has really worked in his little life. He is my miracle baby. Although he was born 6 weeks early, there is no sign of him being premature at all... to this day~
Anyway, that Friday, Alex was playing, and I was frantically cleaning and packing. Not willing to stop for anything.. I was on a roll!!! My inlaws called saying they were coming by with a shirt for Stan. I, determinedly, protested they not come! My mother in law is not usually so determined and forceful about coming by, but she insisted. So I even more frantically stopped packing and started cleaning. I was not very happy about it to say the least. So, they came in and Grandpa and Alex started playing. Gramma was checking Stans shirt out when we heard Grandpa yell. We walked in to Alex seizing! He has never done this and I didnt know what to think. My first thought was his blood sugar, since that runs on both sides of our family. Immediately his lips turned blue... My mother in law, a certified RN, (Praise God) started CPR. I called 911 (rather panicky). She had to do cpr for 2 minutes before he finally took a breath. 30 minutes later, we finally arrived at the hospital. By the time we got there, Alex was just starting to come around and recognize, and open his eyes. To this day, the drs dont know why he had this happen. He has a Neurology appt scheduled for Nov 3. They scheduled this to see if there is any underlying seizure activity. We are praying there isnt any. Alex is fine. He is my very hyper, fun-loving 3 yr old. I thank God for every laugh, whine, movement my children make. Yes, of course they drive me crazy, but I still thank God for them. Now, when my Mother in law says she is coming, I dont panic! God has a reason!!! :)

I quit my job due to the pregnancy and I dont leave Alex alone at all! Stan has a job, just has not started yet. Things have been tight, but God has always provided a way!!!Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05824685508515227702noreply@blogger.com1
